SWANCC provides resources to educate businesses to gain a better understanding of ways to manage their streams of materials and waste. Because you can’t manage what you don’t measure, conducting a waste audit provides data to develop a plan to reduce, reuse, recycle, and compost more efficiently and effectively and know which materials need special disposal. Resources are also available to develop a procurement policy to purchase eco-friendly cleaning supplies and products made from recycled-content or sustainable materials, hold “green” meetings or assemble a Green Team, have a Zero Waste Event and more. Upon request, SWANCC’s Recycling and Education Director can provide a Lunch and Learn presentation to staff.
