NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Pursuant to the Illinois Municipal Budget Law (50ICLS 330/1), notice is hereby given that the Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County will hold a public hearing on its budget and appropriation ordinance for the Fiscal Year beginning May 1, 2021 and ending on April 30, 2022 on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at the office of the Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County, 77 W. Hintz Road, Suite 200, Wheeling, IL. Copies of the tentative form of the budget and appropriation ordinance are available for public inspection at the office of the Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00a.m. and 3:30p.m. Any person desiring to appear at the public hearing and present testimony to the Agency may contact David Van Vooren, Executive Director, at the aforementioned administrative offices or (847) 724-9205.

Believe it or not, the COVID-19 pandemic has affected the way recycling is gathered. For the health and safety of workers, people that are exhibiting COVID symptoms or have tested positive should “bag” and “tie” their recycling and throw away in the garbage until they are well. Never put gloves, masks or PPE in the recycling cart. You should bag and tie those and put in the garbage cart.
