Early Childhood Education Program
The Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County (SWANCC) offers a 30-minute educational program called Taking Care of Our Earth, designed for children 4 - 8 years old. Concepts include the environmental R's - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, as well as respect for our environment. Many visual aids are used to convey each concept and teachers will receive resource materials and activities for follow-up lessons. There is no cost for this program to schools and formal programs at park districts and churches that are located in a SWANCC-member community.  For a glimpse into the presentation, watch the Taking Care of Our Earth video to the right.

Navigate to the Early Childhood Education Program page for more information and to request a presentation.
