General Information
The Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County's (SWANCC) transfer station in Glenview, Illinois processes over 300,000 tons of solid waste, landscape waste and recyclables every year. Solid waste from the 23 member communities is brought to the transfer station and loaded into fully enclosed semi-trailers for the trip to the landfill – saving time, fuel and reducing air pollution.
The Glenview Transfer Station is available to commercial and landscape contractors and other commercial entities for the disposal of landscape and solid waste. The transfer station is equipped with scales and all loads are weighed. There is no minimum charge for construction or landscape waste, so commercial customers only pay for what they bring to the transfer station.
Residents may also bring refuse and debris to the transfer station. You will be required to unload your own vehicle. No landscape waste will be accepted from residents. There is a minimum charge of $34.38 which includes the first half ton of material. White goods such as refrigerators, washers, and dryers may be disposed of on a fee per item basis.
Major credit cards are accepted for payment.
